I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) from Universidad Nacional de Cuyo, Mendoza, Argentina (2001), and earned my master’s degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) from Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, Arizona (2009).
While living in Texas, I completed my Montessori training as a Lower Elementary (6-9) Montessori guide with North American Montessori Center (2018), and I recently completed a course in “Educating the whole student: Mindfulness and Social Emotional Learning (SEL) with Professional Development Institute (PDI), Irvine, California (2020). Currently, I am enrolled in 4 online classes with PDI to keep growing as a teacher and facilitate quality learning to all my students.
During my 18 years of teaching experience as an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher, I have been involved in diverse field-teaching experiences- from K-12 to adult classes in Argentina, Spain, and U.S.A.
My desire as a teacher is to make a positive and long- lasting impact on the lives of each and every one of my students by providing a supportive, stimulating, and inspirational environment that invites exploration, cooperation, and research through different learning modalities to help them reach their full potential and succeed as global citizens.
I believe every child is blessed with different and unique abilities and skills, and that their learning journey, propelled by wonder and excitement, never stops.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching Broadway musicals and plays, being outdoors, hiking, camping, traveling, reading, volunteering, and seeing the world through my camera.
